WaterAid Australia returns as Charity Partner of No-Dig Down Under 2025

WaterAid Australia is once again the official charity partner for No-Dig Down Under, the southern hemisphere’s only large-scale conference and exhibition dedicated to trenchless technology.

The conference is running from 17–18 September 2025 in Melbourne. This marks another year of collaboration between WaterAid Australia and one of the world’s premier trenchless technology events.

WaterAid is an international non-profit with one goal: to change the world through water. Along with decent toilets and good hygiene, a reliable supply of clean water is essential for health, dignity and a life full of opportunity.

Childbirth is safer, children get the chance to grow up healthy and strong. Families thrive and whole communities are better prepared for our changing climate and whatever the future holds.

WaterAid is changing the world through water. Alongside local communities and global allies, we’re determined to reach everyone with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. For health, for life, forever.

WaterAid delivers sustainable and climate-resilient water, sanitation and hygiene solutions through partnerships across sectors—working with communities, governments, utilities, civil society and the private sector to build systems that last.

As the climate crisis intensifies, it directly impacts water and sanitation systems—bringing droughts, flooding, and rising demand that strain communities’ resilience. WaterAid is at the forefront of embedding climate resilience into every aspect of our work.

WaterAid Australia has a uniquely strong connection with the Australian water sector, which has been at the heart of our work since our establishment in 2004.

Utilities, engineering firms, contractors and industry associations across the country provide vital support through fundraising events, workplace giving, technical expertise and strategic partnerships. From initiatives like Walk for Water to major industry conferences, the sector has consistently supported WaterAid Australia, helping raise millions of dollars and amplifying awareness of the global water and sanitation crisis.

The Australian water sector and trenchless technology industry have been some of WaterAid’s most valued partners, providing not only fundraising support but also technical expertise and long-term collaboration. Corporate support helps extend our reach, ensuring more communities gain access to safe, reliable, and climate-resilient water and sanitation services.

Corporate partners can get involved in a variety of ways, and Walk for Water is one  great way to support WaterAid Australia.

Walk for Water, running this year from October 6-10, 2025. The event invites Australians to walk, run or ride for five days to raise funds and awareness for the 703 million people globally who still live without access to clean water.

Around the world, women and girls walk long and often unsafe distances to collect water. This time-consuming task affects education, limits job opportunities and causes serious health and safety risks.

Walk for Water offers Australians the chance to step into their shoes, raising vital funds to help communities access clean water, sanitation and hygiene.

Together, with the support of the Australian water sector and events like No-Dig Down Under, WaterAid can create a future where clean water and sanitation are a reality for all.

No-Dig Down Under is the southern hemisphere’s only large scale conference and exhibition dedicated to trenchless technology. Organised in partnership with the Australasian Society for Trenchless Technology (ASTT), No-Dig Down Under has grown over the years to become the second largest no-dig technology event in the world, and is now considered a ‘must-attend’ for all industry professionals.
